Summary Report of Flood Relief Activity!
At Chennai, Kanchipuram and Tiruvallur districts: on 6th – 7th – 8th December 2015.
Total expenditure of around INR 7 lakhs – for phase 1
Delivered around:
- 1lakh rotis,
- 40,000 water bottles,
- 1lakh biscuit packets,
- 500lts of milk,
- 40,000 jam & pickle sachets, and
- clothes/ blankets/ medicines/ utilities
Covered >40 sub-locations, in 3 districts, impacting around 20,000 needy people, through direct ‘face-to-face’ delivery to the needy friends, in remote affected areas, not covered by other media / NGOs.
Perfect co-ordination and team-work between >200 volunteers from both states (Karnataka and Tamil Nadu), and associating with like-minded organizations like Sai Seva Samithi, Harmony Apts, etc.
Strong support from major Corporate Organizations like – Jones Lang LaSalle, Ingersoll Rand, Unilever, Vyoma Labs; Educational Institutions, and hundreds of individuals; in both cash, as well as in kind.
